Hadith 4:834
9700. Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha’, from ‘Ikrimah, that one of the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was experiencing *istihada* (prolonged non-menstrual vaginal bleeding) while she was in *i’tikaf* (seclusion in the mosque).
