Hadith 4:892
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Wabarah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Kharashah ibn al-Hurr, who said: I saw Umar striking the palms of the people during Rajab until he would place them into the food bowls, and he would say: "Eat, for it is only a month that the people of the Jahiliyyah used to venerate."
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن وبرة بن عبد الرحمن عن خرشة بن الحر قال رأيت عمر يضرب أكف الناس في رجب حتى يضعوها في الجفان ويقول كلوا فإنما هو شهر كان يعظمه أهل الجاهلية
