Hadith 4:899
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Thabit ibn Qays narrated to us, he said: Abu Sa’id al-Maqburi narrated to me, he said: Abu Hurayrah narrated to me, from Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I see you fasting in Sha’ban with a fasting that you do not perform in any of the months, except for the month of Ramadan." He said: "That is a month that people are heedless of, between Rajab and the month of Ramadan. In it, the deeds of the people are raised, so I love that my deed be raised while I am fasting."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال حدثنا ( ( ( حدثتا ) ) ) ثابت بن قيس قال حدثني أبو سعيد المقبري قال حدثني أبو هريرة عن أسامة بن زيد قال قلت يا رسول الله رايتك تصوم في شعبان صوما لا تصوم في شيء من الشهور إلا في شهر رمضان قال ذلك شهر يغفل الناس عنه بين رجب وشهر رمضان ترفع فيه أعمال الناس فأحب أن لا يرفع لي عمل إلا وأنا صائم
