Hadith 4:94
Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'id, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, from al-Hasan, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was on a journey, and he saw a man whom the people had gathered around, and they were shading him. He said, "What is the matter with him?" They said, "A fasting man." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "It is not of righteousness that you fast while traveling."
حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن سعيد عن محمد بن عمرو عن الحسن عن جابر بن عبد الله قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر فراى رجلا قد اجتمع الناس عليه وقد ظلل عليه فقال ما له قالوا رجل صائم فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليس من البر ان تصوموا في السفر
