Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 34:1

I read to Maslamah ibn al-Qasim: Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Jahm, known as Ibn al-Warraq al-Maliki, narrated to you in Baghdad in Rabi' al-Awwal of the year three hundred and twenty-four. He said: It was read to Abu Ahmad Muhammad ibn Abdus ibn Kamil al-Sarraj, and I was listening to him in the year ninety. He said: Abu Bakr Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah al-Kufi narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from his father and Malik ibn Mighwal, from al-Hakam, who said: The first person to judge in Kufa, here, was Sulayman ibn Rabi'ah al-Bahili. He sat for forty days, and no litigant came to him.
