Qabisa narrated to us, from Ibn 'Uyaynah, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Sa'sa'ah, who said: The first to compile the Quran and to inherit the *kalala* (the estate of one who leaves no direct descendants or ascendants) was Abu Bakr.
