Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 34:15

Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, who said: The first thing I heard regarding the funeral [procession] was: "Seek forgiveness for him, may Allah forgive you," at the funeral of Sa‘d ibn Aws.
