Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 34:181

Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir, from Mujahid, who said: "Indeed, the first person to build a door in Makkah was Abd al-Rahman ibn Suhayl. He came to Umar and said, 'A man comes to stay with us without a servant, so he leaves his sandals and his she-camel, then he goes out. You have guaranteed our safety, but we fear thieves, so permit me to make a door.' So he permitted him, and the Quraysh followed suit and made doors."
