Hadith 34:19
Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Suddi, from 'Abd Khayr, who said: I heard 'Ali saying: May the mercy of Allah be upon Abu Bakr; he was the first to combine the two tablets.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن السدي عن عبد خير قال سمعت عليا يقول رحمة الله على أبي بكر كان أول من جمع بين اللوحين
