Hadith 34:20
Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Suddi, from Abd Khayr, who said: I heard Ali saying: May the mercy of Allah be upon Abu Bakr; he is the first to have gathered [the Quran] between the two covers.
حدثنا بن مهدي عن سفيان عن السدي عن عبد خير قال سمعت عليا يقول رحمة الله على أبي بكر هو أول من جمع بين اللوحين
