Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 34:249

Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, who said: Abdullah [Ibn Mas'ud] did not perform Qunut in the dawn [prayer]. The first to perform Qunut in it was Ali, and they used to believe that he only did that because he was at war.
