Abu al-Qasim Maslamah ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Abu al-Hasan Ya'qub ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim ibn Yazid ibn Hajar al-Qurashi al-'Asqalani narrated to us in 'Asqalan, he said: Abu al-Fadl Salih ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Mahdi al-Massisi narrated to us, Abu Hafs 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Abbar narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Azdi, from Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The first to enter the bathhouse and for whom the depilatory paste (nura) was made was Sulayman ibn Dawud (peace be upon him). When he entered it and felt its heat and its stifling air, he said: 'Oh, for the punishment of Allah, before there is no "oh" (i.e., before the time when such cries of distress will be of no avail).'"
