Hadith 34:304

Ya'qub ibn Ishaq ibn Hajar narrated to us, Abu Musa narrated to us, Damra narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Yazid, from a man he named, who said: The first to tie a banner (liwa') was Ibrahim, the Friend of the Most Merciful. It reached him that a people had raided Lot and taken him captive, so he tied a banner and marched toward them with his slaves and his freedmen until he overtook them and rescued him and his family.

حدثنا يعقوب بن إسحاق بن حجر حدثنا أبو موسى حدثنا ضمرة عن يزيد بن أبي يزيد عن رجل سماه قال أول من عقد الأولوية إبراهيم خليل الرحمن بلغه أن قوما أغاروا على لوط فسبوه فعقد لواء وسار إليهم بعبيده ومواليه حتى أدركهم فاستنقذه وأهله
