Muslimah narrated to us, Ibn al-Washa’ narrated to us, Bakkar ibn Qutaybah the judge narrated to us, Rawh ibn ‘Ubadah al-Qaysi narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, from ‘Asim al-Ahwal, who said: I heard Abu ‘Uthman al-Nahdi saying: I heard Sa’d ibn Malik and Abu Bakrah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying: "Whoever claims to be the son of someone other than his father, while he knows that he is not his father, then Paradise is forbidden to him." He said: And Sa’d ibn Malik was the first to shoot an arrow in the way of Allah the Almighty. He said: And Abu Bakrah was the first to climb over [the wall] to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) among the delegation of Thaqif.
