Hadith 34:59
Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Jabir, from 'Amir, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not grant land concessions (qata'i'), nor did Abu Bakr, nor 'Umar, nor 'Ali. The first to grant land concessions was 'Uthman, and the lands were sold during the governorship of 'Uthman.
