Hadith 34:91
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Humayd, from al-Hasan, he said: Indeed, the first to initiate the gift (al-hibah) was 'Uthman bin 'Affan. And the first to ask the claimant for evidence, when his debtor died and his debt was upon him, was 'Uthman bin 'Affan.
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن حميد عن الحسن قال إن أول من أبدا الهبة عثمان بن عفان وأول من سأل الطالب البينة ان غريمه مات ودينه عليه عثمان بن عفان
