Hadith 6:1
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from al-Harith ibn Suwayd, from Abdullah, who said: I entered upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was suffering from a fever. I touched him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, you are suffering from a severe fever." He said: "Yes, I suffer from a fever as two men among you suffer." I said: "Is it because you have a double reward?" He said: "Yes. By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no Muslim on earth who is afflicted by harm, or anything beyond that, except that Allah removes his sins from him because of it, just as a tree sheds its leaves."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمي عن الحارث بن سويد عن عبد الله قال دخلت على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يوعك قال فمسسته فقلت يا رسول الله إنك لتوعك وعكا شديدا فقال أجل إني أوعك كما يوعك رجلان منكم فقلت لأن لك الأجر مرتين فقال نعم والذي نفسي بيده ما على الأرض مسلم يصيبه أذى فما سواه إلا حط الله به عنه خطاياه كما تحط الشجرة ورقها
