Hadith 6:1041
Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Najiya ibn Ka'b, from Ali, who said: Ali said: When Abu Talib died, I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, your misguided uncle has died." He said to me: "Go and bury him, and do not do anything until you come to me." He said: So I went and buried him, then I returned to him, and upon me were the traces of soil and dust. He then invoked blessings for me with supplications that I would not be pleased to have in exchange for everything upon the earth.
