Hadith 6:1049
Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-Ajalh, from al-Sha'bi, who said: When Abu Talib died, Ali came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Your elderly, disbelieving uncle has died, so what do you see regarding him?" He said: "I see that you should wash him," and he commanded him to wash him.
حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الأجلح عن الشعبي قال لما مات أبو طالب جاء علي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال ان عمك الشيخ الكافر قد مات فما ترى فيه قال أرى أن تغسله وأمره بالغسل
