Hadith 6:1050
Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Dirar ibn Murrah, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, who said: A Christian man died, and his son entrusted him to the people of his religion. This was mentioned to Ibn Abbas, and he said: "What would it have been upon him if he had walked with him, buried him, and asked for forgiveness for him while he was alive?" Then he recited: "And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father..." [to the end of the verse].
