Hadith 6:1059
Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Husayn, from ‘Amr ibn Maymun, that ‘Umar said to ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar: "Go to ‘A’ishah, greet her, and say: '‘Umar ibn al-Khattab asks permission to be buried with his two companions.'" So ‘Abdullah went to her and found her sitting and weeping. He greeted her, then said: "‘Umar ibn al-Khattab asks permission to be buried with his two companions." She said: "By Allah, I had wanted it for myself, but today I will surely prefer him over myself."
حدثنا بن فضيل عن حصين عن عمرو بن ميمون أن عمر قال لعبد الله بن عمر اذهب إلى عائشة فسلم وقل يستأذن عمر بن الخطاب أن يدفن مع صاحبيه فأتاها عبد الله فوجدها قاعدة تبكي فسلم ثم قال يستأذن عمر بن الخطاب أن يدفن مع صاحبيه فقالت قد كنت والله أريده لنفسي ولأوثرنه اليوم على نفسي
