Hadith 6:1074
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sahl al-Sarraj, who said: I heard Muhammad ibn Sirin being asked about a people who arrived with captives, and they would command them to pray, so they would pray, and if they did not command them, they would not pray. Then a man among them died. He (Ibn Sirin) said: "Has it become clear to you that he is among the companions of Hellfire?" They said: "No, it has not become clear to us." He said: "Wash him, shroud him, embalm him, and pray over him."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن سهل السراج قال سمعت محمد بن سيرين سئل عن قوم أقبلوا بسبي فكانوا أمروهم أن يصلوا فصلوا وإذا لم يأمروهم لم يصلوا فمات رجل منهم فقال تبين لكم أنه من اصحاب الجحيم فقالوا لا ما تبين لنا قال اغسلوه وكفنوه وحنطوه وصلوا عليه
