Hadith 6:1075
Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from 'Abdullah al-Nasri, who said: A man said in the presence of al-Sha'bi: "I import slaves, and some of them die. Should I perform the funeral prayer over them?" He replied: "If he used to pray, then pray over him; and if he did not pray, then do not pray over him."
حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن محمد بن زياد عن عبد الله النصري قال قال رجل عند الشعبي إني أجلب الرقيق فيموت بعضهم أفأصلي عليه فقال ان صلى فصل عليه وإن لم يصل فلا تصل عليه
