Hadith 6:1087
Shababa narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah, from his father, that a man used to come to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and with him was a son of his. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "Do you love him?" He said, "Yes." He said, "May Allah love you as you love him." He said: Then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, missed him and said, "What happened to your son?" He said, "Do you not know that he has died?" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "Does it not please you that you will not come to any of the gates of Paradise to open it, except that he will come running until he opens it for you?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, is this specifically for him, or is it for the people in general?" He said, "It is for you in general."
حدثنا شبابة عن شعبة عن معاوية بن قرة عن أبيه أن رجلا كان يأتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ومعه بن له فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتحبه قال نعم فقال أحبك الله كما تحبه قال ففقده النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال ما فعل ابنك فقال أشعرت أنه توفي فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أما يسرك أنه لا تأتي بابا من أبواب الجنة تستفتحه إلا جاء يسعى حتى يستفتحه لك ( فقالوا ) يا رسول الله أله خاصة أم للناس عامة قال لكم عامة
