Hadith 6:1109
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, from his paternal uncle Yazid ibn Thabit, that he was sitting with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, among his companions, when a funeral procession appeared. When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw it, he stood up, and his companions stood up. They did not cease to remain standing until it had moved far away. By Allah, I do not know whether it was because of the harm it caused or because the place was narrow. I do not think it was anything but the funeral of a Jew or a Jewess, and we did not ask him about his standing.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير قال حدثنا عثمان بن حكيم عن خارجة بن زيد عن عمه يزيد بن ثابت انه كان جالسا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في أصحابه فطلعت جنازة فلما رآها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثار وثار أصحابه فلم يزالوا قياما حتى بعدت والله ما أدري من تآذيها أو من تضايق المكان وما أحسبها إلا جنازة يهودي أو يهودية وما سألناه عن قيامه
