Hadith 6:113
Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from 'Isa, from his father, who said: When Adam became heavy [with illness/approaching death], he commanded his sons to gather fruits from Paradise. They gathered them, and the angels met them and said, "Return, for Allah has commanded the taking of your father." So they returned with them, and they took his soul. They came with his shroud and embalmed him, and they said to his sons, "Be present, and wash him, shroud him, embalm him, and pray over him." And they said, "O children of Adam, this is the Sunnah among you."
حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن يونس عن الحسن عن عيسى عن أبي قال لما ثقل آدم أمر بنيه أن يجدوا من ثمار الجنة فجدوا فتلقتهم الملائكة فقالوا ارجعوا فقد أمر الله بقبض أبيكم فرجعوا معهم فقبضوا روحه وجاءوا ( ( ( وجاؤوا ) ) ) معهم بكفنه وحنطوه وقالوا لبنيه احضروا فأغسلوه وكفنوه وحنطوه وصلوا عليه وقالوا يا بني آدم هذه سنة بينكم
