Hadith 6:114
Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il bin Abi Khalid, from Hakim bin Jabir al-Ahmasi, who said: When al-Ash’ath bin Qays died, and his daughter was married to al-Hasan bin ‘Ali, he (al-Hasan) said: "When you wash him, do not disturb him until you inform me." So we informed him, and he came and performed ablution for him with *hanut* (embalming substances) like an ablution.
حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن حكيم بن جابر الأحمسي قال لما مات الأشعث بن قيس وكانت ابنته تحت الحسن بن علي قال إذ غسلتموه فلا تهيجوه حتى تؤذنوني فآذناه فجاء فوضأه بالحنوط وضوءا
