Hadith 6:1198
Jarir narrated to us, from Abd al-Aziz ibn Rufay’, from Khaythama, who said: Abdullah said: Observe people at their places of rest (deathbeds). If you see a servant dying upon the best of what you see of him, then hope for good for him. And if you see him dying upon the worst of what you see of him, then fear for him.
حدثنا جرير عن عبد العزيز بن رفيع عن خيثمة قال قال عبد الله انظروا الناس عند مضاجعهم فإذا رأيتم العبد يموت على خير ما ترونه فارجوا له الخير وإن رأيتموه يموت على شر ما ترونه فخافوا عليه
