Hadith 6:121
Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ash’ath, from al-Hasan, that he said regarding the deceased: Wash him with lotus leaves (sidr). If lotus leaves are not found, then with marshmallow (khatmi). If there is no marshmallow, then with potash (ushnan).
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن أشعث عن الحسن أنه قال في الميت اغسله بسدر فإن لم يوجد سدر فخطمي فإن لم يكن خطمي فبأشنان
