Hadith 6:1226
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Masruq, from 'Aishah, who said: A Jewish woman entered upon me and gifted me some perfume. She said, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." She said: So that fell into my mind [i.e., I became concerned about it]. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is there a punishment in the grave?" He said, "Yes, they are indeed punished in their graves with a punishment that the beasts hear."
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن شقيق عن مسروق عن عائشة قالت دخلت عليها يهودية فوهبت لها طيبا فقالت أجارك الله من عذاب القبر قالت فوقع في نفسي من ذلك فلما جاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قلت يا رسول الله ان في القبر عذابا قال نعم إنهم ليعذبون في قبورهم عذابا تسمعه البهائم
