Hadith 6:1248
Husayn ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, from Za’idah, from ‘Asim, from Zirr, from ‘Abdullah, who said: When a man is placed in his grave, if he is among the people of felicity, Allah will make him firm with the firm word. He will be asked, "Who are you?" He will say, "I am the servant of Allah, alive and dead. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger." He said: It will be said to him, "Thus you were." He said: His grave will be widened for him as much as Allah wills, and a door to Paradise will be opened for him, and its spirit and its fragrance will enter upon him until he is resurrected. As for the other, he will be brought in his grave and it will be said to him, "Who are you?" three times. He will say, "I do not know." It will be said to him, "You did not know," three times. Then his grave will be constricted upon him until his ribs cross or touch, and snakes will be sent upon him from the side of the grave, biting him and eating him. Whenever he becomes distressed and cries out, he will be struck with a hammer of iron or fire, and a door to the Fire will be opened for him.
