Hadith 6:1288
Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Ata, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: I was sitting with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when a woman came to him and said to him: "My mother had a fast of two months upon her; does it suffice for her if I fast on her behalf?" He said: "Yes." She said: "My mother never performed Hajj; does it suffice if I perform Hajj on her behalf?" He said: "Yes."
حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن عبد الله بن عطاء عن بن بريدة عن أبيه قال كنت جالسا عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذ جاءته امرأة فقالت له أنه كان على أمي صوم شهرين أفيجزي عنها أن أصوم عنها قال نعم قالت فإن أمي لم تحج قط أفيجزى أن أحج عنها قال نعم
