Abdullah bin Numayr narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim, from his father, from Aisha, who said: When the death of Ja'far arrived, we recognized sadness on the face of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. A man entered upon him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the women are weeping." He said: "Go back to them and silence them. If they refuse, then throw dust in their faces." Aisha said: So I said to myself: "By Allah, you will neither leave them alone, nor will you obey the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
