Hadith 6:1326
Waki’ narrated to us, [saying] Hisham bin ‘Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from ‘Aishah, [who] said: The hadith of Ibn ‘Umar was mentioned to her, that the deceased is punished by the weeping of the living. She said: "May Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman be forgiven! Did he not hear? On the day of the well of Badr, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) only said: 'Indeed, he is being punished, while his family is weeping over him.'"
حدثنا وكيع ثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة قال ذكر لها حديث بن عمران الميت ليعذب ببكاء الحي فقالت وهل أبو عبد الرحمن كما وهل يوم قليب بدر إنما قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم انه ليعذب وان أهله ليبكون عليه
