Hadith 6:1327
Shababa ibn Sawwar narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "A son was born to me tonight, so I named him after my father, Ibrahim." He said: Then he entrusted him to Umm Sayf, the wife of a blacksmith in Medina who was called Abu Sayf. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) set out, and I set out with him. We found Abu Sayf blowing into his bellows, and the house had filled with smoke. I walked quickly ahead of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) until I reached Abu Sayf, and I said: "O Abu Sayf, stop, stop! The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) has come." So he stopped. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) called for the infant, embraced him, and said what Allah willed for him to say. Anas said: I saw him struggling with his soul (dying). He said: The eyes of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) shed tears. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The eye sheds tears, the heart grieves, and we do not say except what pleases our Lord. And indeed, we are saddened by your departure, O Ibrahim."
