Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 6:1340

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sa’id ibn al-Sa’ib, who said: I heard an old man among the Banu ‘Amir, one of the Banu Sawa’ who was called ‘Abdullah ibn Mu’ayyah, say: Two men from the Muslims were struck on the day of Ta’if. He said: They were carried to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and that reached him. So he sent [word] that they should be buried where they were struck or where they met [their end].
