Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 6:214

Waki’ ibn al-Jarrah narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from al-Sha’bi, who said: When Ali stoned Surahah, the tribe of Hamdan came to Ali and said, "How should we deal with her?" He said, "Deal with her as you deal with your women when they die in your houses."
