Hadith 6:289
Waki’ narrated to us, from Thawr, from Rashid ibn Sa’d, from Umar, who said: The woman is shrouded in five garments: in the waist-wrapper (mintaq), the chemise (dir’), the head-covering (khimar), the wrapping sheet (lifafa), and the piece of cloth that is tied over her.
