Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 6:421

Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Abu Hayyan, from his father, who said: Amr ibn Maymun was a friend of al-Rabi’ ibn Khuthaym. When he (al-Rabi’) became severely ill, Amr said to the mother of al-Rabi’ ibn Khuthaym’s child, "Inform me when he dies." She said, "He said: 'When I die, do not inform anyone about me, and carry me to my Lord, carry me.'" He said: So Amr spent the night on the benches of Banu Thawr until morning came, and he witnessed him (his funeral).
