Hadith 6:424

Sa'id ibn Yahya al-Himyari narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Umamah ibn Sahl, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to visit the poor of the people of Medina and attend their funerals when they died. He said: A woman from the people of al-'Awali died, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If she is prepared, inform me about her." He said: They came to him to inform him about her, but they found him sleeping, and a portion of the night had passed. They disliked waking him, and they feared for him the darkness of the night and the vermin of the earth. When morning came, he asked about her, and they said: "O Messenger of Allah, we came to you to inform you about her, but we found you sleeping, so we disliked waking you, and we feared for you the darkness of the night and the vermin of the earth." He said: "So we buried her there." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walked to her grave, prayed over her, and said the takbir four times.
