Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Habban al-Ta'i, who said: I witnessed the funeral of the mother of Mus'ab ibn al-Zubayr, and Ibn Abbas was there on a female donkey of his. He passed by and came alongside Abdullah ibn Amr and Ibn Umar. They heard the voices of wailing women. I said, "O Abu Abbas, is this being done while you are here?" He said, "Leave us be, O Habban, for indeed Allah is the One who makes [one] laugh and makes [one] weep."
