Hadith 6:563
Talha narrated to us, from Affan ibn Muslim, who said: Abu Awanah narrated to us, who said: Khalid narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Amr ibn Ghaylan, from Abu al-Darda’, that he used to say in the prayer over the deceased: "O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, the Muslims. O Allah, forgive the believing men and the believing women, and the Muslim men and the Muslim women. Reconcile their differences, unite their hearts, and place their hearts upon the hearts of the best among them. O Allah, forgive so-and-so, son of so-and-so, his sin, and join him with His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. O Allah, raise his rank among the guided, and be his successor for those he left behind among the remaining. Place his record in 'Illiyyun, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not lead us astray after him."
