Hadith 6:578
'Abdah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, that a man asked Abu Hurayrah, "How do you pray over the funeral?" Abu Hurayrah said, "I, by the life of Allah, will inform you. I say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), then I pray upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then I say: 'O Allah, Your servant or Your handmaid used to worship You, not associating anything with You, and You know best about him. If he was a doer of good, then increase him in his goodness, and if he was a wrongdoer, then overlook his faults. O Allah, do not try us after him, and do not deprive us of his reward.'"
