Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 6:593

11392. 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Umamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf, that 'Ubayd ibn al-Sabbaq narrated to him that he saw Sahl ibn Hunayf pray over a deceased person. He recited the Mother of the Qur'an (al-Fatiha) in the first takbir, then he continued between his takbirs, supplicating between them. Until, when one takbir remained, he recited the tashahhud of the prayer, then he said the takbir and departed.
