Hadith 6:607
Narrated to us Abd al-A’la and Ghundar, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Abu al-Minhal, who said: I asked Abu al-‘Aliyah about reciting the Opening of the Book (al-Fatihah) in the funeral prayer. He said: I did not think that the Opening of the Book was recited except in a prayer that contains bowing and prostration.
