Hadith 6:719
'A'idh ibn Habib narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Waqid ibn 'Amr ibn Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, who said: I was at a funeral, and I did not sit down until it was placed on the ground. Then I came to Nafi' ibn Jubayr and sat with him. He said: "What is the matter with me that I did not see you sit down until the funeral was placed?" I said: "That is the hadith that reached me from Abu Sa'id." Nafi' said: "Mas'ud ibn al-Hakam narrated to me that 'Ali narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood, then he sat."
حدثنا عائذ بن حبيب عن يحيى بن سعيد عن واقد بن عمرو بن سعد بن معاذ قال كنت في جنازة فلم أجلس حتى وضعت على الأرض ثم أتيت نافع بن جبير فجلست إليه فقال مالي لم أرك جلست حتى وضعت الجنازة فقلت ذلك الحديث الذي بلغني عن أبي سعيد فقال نافع ( ( ( حدثنافع ) ) ) حدثني مسعود بن الحكم أن عليا حدثه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قام ثم قعد
