Hadith 6:726
Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, from Sa’id al-Maqburi, from his father, who said: I saw Abu Hurayrah and Marwan walking in front of the funeral procession, then they sat down. Then Abu Sa’id al-Khudri came and said: "Stand up, O Amir, for this one—meaning Abu Hurayrah—knows that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when he followed a funeral procession, would not sit down until it was placed [on the ground]."
حدثنا وكيع عن بن أبي ذئب عن سعيد المقبري عن أبيه قال رأيت أبا هريرة ومروان يمشيان أمام الجنازة ثم جلسا فجاء أبو سعيد الخدري قال قم أيها الأمير فقد علم هذا يعني أبا هريرة أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا اتبع الجنازة لم يجلس حتى توضع
