Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Thawr, from Mahfuz ibn Alqama, from Abdullah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: "There are two commanders who are not commanders: A woman who is with a traveling party and performs Hajj or Umrah, then she is afflicted by the harm of menstruation. He said: 'Do not depart until she becomes pure and gives them permission.' And a man who goes out with a funeral procession; he does not return until he is given permission, or they bury it, or they inter it."
