Hadith 6:77
Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Abu Malik al-Ashja'i, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, who said: When the night came in which Hudhayfah died, Abu Mas'ud entered upon him and said: "Move aside, for your night has become long." He leaned him against his chest, and he (Hudhayfah) regained consciousness and said: "What time is this?" They said: "The pre-dawn (al-sahar)." Hudhayfah said: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a morning leading to the Fire, and an evening in it." Then we laid him down, and he passed away.
حدثنا مروان بن معاوية عن أبي مالك الأشجعي عن ربعي بن حراش قال لما كانت ليلة مات فيها حذيفة دخل عليه أبو مسعود فقال تنحي ( ( ( تنح ) ) ) فقد طال ليلك ( ( ( بليل ) ) ) فأسنده إلى صدره فأفاق فقال أي ساعة هذه قالوا السحر فقال حذيفة اللهم أني أعوذ بك من صباح إلى النار ومساء بها ثم اضطجعناه ( ( ( أضج ) ) ) فقضى
