Hadith 6:771
Hammad ibn Mas'adah narrated to us, from 'Abd Rabbih ibn Abi Rashid, who said: The people during the Plague of al-Jarif used to pray over the funerals of men and women separately. Then Jabir ibn Zayd came—according to what 'Abd Rabbih thinks—and he placed the women in front of the men, and he prayed over them all together.
حثدنا حماد بن مسعدة عن عبد ربه بن أبي راشد قال كان الناس في طاعون الجارف يصلون على جنائز الرجال والنساء متفرقين فجاء جابر بن زيد فيما يحسب عبد ربه فجعل النساء أمام الرجال فصلى عليهم جميعا
